Thanks to the success of initiatives like the Green Theme Camp Community and our BLAST program, Regional Burning Man Events are increasingly seeking guidance on adopting similar sustainable practices. While each event and location is distinct, the core principles and strategies we've developed in Black Rock City can prove effective across diverse bioregions.
We believe that sharing our experiences and approaches can inspire and empower all regional events to enhance their sustainability efforts. Join us as we explore how these strategies can be adapted to meet the unique environmental and community needs of your event.
The Green Regionals Grant is a $30,000 grant for projects that support Regional Events and 10 Principled gatherings in becoming more sustainable, regenerative and resilient (aka “Green Regionals”), while also sharing what they learn with the network.

Every good role starts with a description right? This is a working role description for a 'Sustainability Lead' at a Regional Event. This role might be paired with a traditional LNT lead, or might be seperated and work hand in hand with the LNT lead and all other leads at an event to assess what practices an event might be able to implement.
