2024 BLAST Radius Results

The 2024 BLAST results are finally here! 85 camps participated in BLAST this year, a 35% increase from 2023. Amazing work everyone! Just by signing up, you're demonstrating your commitment to sustainability, and leading the way towards a greener, more regenerative Black Rock City.

✍️ A note on 2024 scoring:
As the BLAST program has grown, we’ve reached the limits of human-based scoring. In 2024, we experimented with using AI to support the evaluation process. While this improved efficiency, we also discovered that our original scoring system was designed for human reviewers—not computers.

As a result, your 2024 score may differ from previous years. We recognize that this may feel like a disruption to your year-over-year momentum. That said, this challenge has inspired us to rebuild the BLAST system in ways that make scoring faster, clearer, and more scalable. You’ll begin to see the results of these improvements in the 2025 application form.
