New Year - New Host!

We are pleased to announce that GYST (Get Your Shit Together) will be returning for its second year as a compost collection site, at 7&A!

Donations Accepted: GYST - 7&A
3pm - 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of burn week. (Don’t come on Wednesday, we’ll all be at Burning Man.)

NEW THIS YEAR:

GYST is ONLY accepting DRY donations. Check the Moisture Meter and make sure that all of your donations qualify as a 5 or lower. We reserve the right to turn away anything that threatens to stink bomb our space!

Black Rock Compost Donations

While it is not required that anyone pay, it is because the communities generosity that we have been able to make this program possible. We suggest $5 per person, so if your camp has 50 people in it, the suggested amount is $250. Again, you will not be turned away if you do not pay. For those camps with more resources, please consider paying a slightly higher number like $8 per person.

2021 Compost Pilot

The first pilot to explore the feasibility of the compost project thesis was executed from June 10-14 with 120 participants at a community festival in Darlington, Maryland.
